I'd like to introduce my own #똑똑한가구배치 for my kitchen and living room. I bought a pre-built house and did the interior design myself, and I ended up incorporating my own ideas into the furniture, which is what you might call a "self-made" project! Since it wasn't a turnkey project, I first wanted to get ideas for the overall interior. I looked at as many articles and photos of similar apartments as possible, and found a ton of references that I found most satisfying during my time there. When I was thinking about how to best use the furniture in the kitchen and living room, the common spaces in my home, the most essential things were: ◇First, a dining table must be placed in the kitchen. - Many people who work in pre-built interiors will agree, but this varies depending on the layout. Even in apartments measuring 100 square feet (34 pyeong), depending on the layout or the presence of an extension, there's limited space in the kitchen, so many people end up placing the dining table near the living room window. However, I absolutely believe that the dining table must be in the kitchen, so I absolutely couldn't give that up. So, after consulting numerous interior photos, I came up with this layout. ◇Second, maximize storage space while maintaining an unobstructed view and a view out the window when sitting at the table. - To elaborate, to ensure the dining table is in the kitchen, and to ensure the window is not obstructed when sitting at the table, and a clear view out the window, I had to forgo a tall cabinet. Instead, I placed a lower cabinet under the kitchen window to provide storage instead of a tall cabinet, and incorporated a small island for small appliances like a rice cooker. This way, I was able to create a kitchen that didn't feel cramped when I placed the dining table in the way I wanted, with a view of the kitchen. ◇Finally, don't disturb my privacy when sitting on the sofa. - Some of you might be wondering, what's that all about?! In fact, the distance between the buildings in our apartment is closer than you might think. Because of this, I can see the TV in the neighboring building from my balcony. The original layout of our house meant that if we sat on the sofa opposite the TV, we'd be able to see us clearly from the neighboring apartment. So, we swapped the TV and sofa locations. So, we arranged our furniture so that when we sat on the sofa, we couldn't be seen from other apartments! When I look at other people's amazing interiors, I've seen so many of them cleverly arranging their furniture with various accessories and furniture, so I initially gave a lot of thought to what kind of information I could share with them. After much thought, I realized that properly arranging the built-in furniture, which is almost impossible to change, is also an important part of interior design.
