I made an intercom cover! 🖤 The intercom and the switch underneath it are so prominent in our living room… .. Actually, I wanted to install a different switch during our remodel, but I had to wait for the one I wanted to restock, so I installed the basic switch for now and my husband decided to replace it later… but his busy overseas business trips mean it's still in that state… haha That's why I always felt a pang of regret whenever I looked at it. It didn't look pretty in photos, so I always wanted to cover it up… but I couldn't find an intercom cover that suited my style. So, I decided to make one, and I gave it a try! haha I got the wall shelf on a whim, but I had nowhere else to put it, so I just threw it in the utility room. Then, suddenly, I thought about it and put it here, and the top and bottom fit perfectly! Wow! haha. After realizing the sizes were the same, I immediately started painting! I was really worried about the black accents because I didn't think they'd suit my home. But I figured, "If I don't like it, I can always change it," so I tried adding some color. It turned out better than I expected, and I was satisfied! Haha Next, I took the fabric I had left at home and the mini compression bar to a tailor shop. I measured the space for the compression bar and the area I needed to cover, but the owner said they didn't accept such requests because they were worried the measurements might not match up. ㅠㅠ I told them it was okay to have some errors, and they said they'd try to adjust it, so I took the job! Haha When I brought it home, I noticed it was cut a little too long, so the middle felt a little loose. I actually wished it had been made tighter, but... it's still pretty cool! Haha 🤍 I think of it as more than just an intercom cover, but it's a piece that reflects my own sensibility, so I'm even more attached to it... .? 😚 I searched and found that the wall shelf I bought on Carrot was also on Today's House...
