With so much time spent at home these days, I've been wanting to find a hobby that I can focus on. Then I ordered WeMakePainting 🎨 a DIY painting service where you just paint by numbers, and it was tempting because it said you didn't need any artistic talent to get started. When I first received it, I was a little taken aback by how much larger the canvas was than I expected, but once I started painting, I found it helped me concentrate better and distracting thoughts disappeared. With the brush dipped in paint, I just silently filled in the colors, and I lost track of time. It's perfect for these busy times. The numbers were so well-defined, I wondered, "Will I ever be able to finish this?" But little by little, as the colors piled up, I saw the painting come to life, and that was a subtle joy. The top part isn't quite finished yet, but once I started painting the waves, sand, and swan, the overall atmosphere really came alive. Once completed, I'm so satisfied that I'll want to just leave it standing, even without a frame. It's not a grand hobby, but when you want to quietly relax at home, or on days when you find yourself on your phone, I recommend trying this DIY.
