I love European sensibilities, so it wasn't the furniture, but the layout that mattered. 👇 I actually love European interiors, but I focused more on the layout than on specific furniture. What I like about European interiors is the spacious and comfortable structure, rather than the ornate ones. ✔️ The living room centers around the 'sofa-rug-table' design. Rather than pushing the furniture against the wall, I centered the living room around the rug. This arrangement makes the space look organized, and creates the sense of stability characteristic of European homes. ✔️ Facing sofas🛋️📺 I left plenty of space between the furniture, so that watching TV, relaxing, and conversations flow naturally. I think the conversational sofa arrangement is key to creating a European atmosphere. ✔️ Creating flow with curved furniture☁️ I chose products with rounded lines for the sofa, chairs, and table. Even with a simple layout, the space flows smoothly. ✔️ White base + minimal accents🤍 Rather than using too much color, I chose a unified palette of white and ivory, and used a single rug as a patterned accent. I like to maintain a European mood without being overdone. ✔️ Lighting as part of the layout🕯️ The lighting complements the flow of the space, rather than being decorative. This makes the entire home feel more serene.
