I keep a mobile trolley in the lower space, taking it out only when I need to cook, and then putting it away after use. Because my kitchen is small, I find that using it only when I need it works better than having it always out there. It makes the flow of movement clearer, and the cooking area is organized, so the kitchen looks much less cluttered.
