Because of the narrow, rectangular kitchen, my dream of a large, long dining table fell through. Even a regular-sized table, let alone a long one, would have been a problem, and having to place it in front of the bathroom made it impossible to sleep. But I also thought a house without a dining table was absurd, so I ended up finding the smallest table I could find, a semi-circular table measuring 800mm long. The refrigerator was a bit narrower than I expected, so I almost ended up making the dining table next to it, but I ended up sacrificing some storage and moving it next to the kitchen counter. Now I can watch TV, drink tea, and eat!
