I restored the yellowed floor of my old house with Decotile. Just changing the floor made the house feel so much brighter! Because the floor takes up so much space, even a small change can make a huge difference. This self-installation made me realize why floors are so important! At first, I was worried that the removable stickers would leave marks when removed, so I only applied them to the bare minimum. However, as I lived, they gradually moved and created gaps. ㅠㅠ So I removed the areas I'd previously applied and checked. The stickers came off more easily than I expected, leaving no marks. I thought I could restore them to their original condition, so I applied stickers to the areas that were moving. The adhesive stickers alone were quite secure, so I had no problems using them. 🙈 I think the most important part of Decotile installation is cutting them to fit the shape of the room. Even if you don't notice it at first glance, a room isn't a perfect rectangle. Even if you start with the right angles, gaps or crookedness can develop as you go further, requiring additional work to fill in the small gaps. My Construction Tips✨ 1. Test by placing adhesive stickers on hidden areas like the back of a door or in a corner, then removing them. 2. Rather than starting with stickers one at a time, lay out the tiles across the entire area and position them to minimize any gaps. 3. Choose one corner as a reference point and start laying tiles, starting with the reference tile and then the sides attached to it. 4.
