#리모델링성공기 #신혼집인테리어 #구축리모델링 #구축아파트리모델링 We remodeled the entire house, excluding the sash, ahead of moving into our new home. It's a 30-pyeong (approximately 100 square meters) three-bay apartment, and we renovated every space except the sash. Since we were also preparing for our wedding, it was unrealistic to afford the exorbitant costs of so-called "high-end" interior design. So, even within our limited budget, we wanted to create a home that was worth the remodeling costs. We put our heads together and meticulously considered every detail. (Of course, the construction costs were quite high, reflecting our dedication! 😅) To achieve the highest level of satisfaction within our limited budget, we set three criteria. First, we prioritized a design that would last a lifetime, rather than chasing trends. Second, we prioritized practical convenience over visual glamour. Finally, we focused on creating a clean, uncluttered base that would naturally blend in with any furniture and accessories. These considerations combined to create a new home that truly harmonizes our tastes and daily lives. (The before-and-after difference is incredible, right? Haha.) Nine months have passed since we finished the interior, and now that we're living there, I can see the choices we made that make me so happy. ▪️Large, open-plan island Even though it was quite expensive, I pushed ahead with the mindset of "We absolutely have to get this done!" and it ended up creating a space as satisfying as our living room. As someone who enjoys cooking, the spacious kitchen is a true joy in itself. The direct access to the refrigerator makes it incredibly convenient for accessing and organizing ingredients. Above all, it's where the dramatic transformation from before to after the remodel truly shines, making it a truly rewarding experience. It's our signature space, the envy of guests who come to visit! ▪️Bathroom The second most satisfying feature highly recommended by a 9-month resident is the bathroom remodel. Our house has two bathrooms, one in the living room and one in the master bedroom. My husband and I decided to prioritize the master bathroom, which is used more frequently. Rather than focusing solely on a pretty bathroom, we focused on creating a space that was easy to maintain and practical. I'll summarize the key points. The three most important factors we considered while remodeling the master bathroom were storage, dehumidification, and convenience. • Practical sliding cabinets: Instead of a cabinet that simply looked attractive, we chose sliding cabinets with ample storage. This allows us to hide all our miscellaneous items inside, keeping our bathroom always looking as organized as a hotel. • Installing a HueGent: Since this is our main shower area, moisture management was crucial, and installing a HueGent was a godsend. It dries the space quickly after showering, and we've been able to avoid pink mold, the worst enemy of bathrooms. If you're considering installing one, I highly recommend it! • Replaced the Jolly Cut with a new Zendai: We installed a longer Zendai to conveniently store shower items. It's much neater and easier to use than installing a separate shelf. Nine months later, I'm still completely satisfied with this space, with no regrets. ▪️Main Door A main door was a must-have for my husband and I. Not only was it efficient for heating and cooling, but we also live with a dog, so blocking out noise from both inside and outside was paramount! We struggled with design and practicality, but ultimately chose the current design, which prioritized practicality. We're extremely satisfied with the result! The noise from outside the front door is well-blocked, so our dog doesn't react sensitively to deliveries or other noises. Most importantly, when I pack my packages and close the main door, the air inside the house feels noticeably different. We're enjoying the soundproofing and insulation benefits we've been hoping for, so a main door will definitely be a must-have for our next interior design project. It's been a while since I last saw the before and after pictures of our house remodel, and it's so dramatic.
