I've been keeping a close eye on it because they say it's much better than opening the window on days with high fine dust levels. The open rod is perfect for hanging clothes for people who come over or coats after eating meat! The downside is that I made the drawer height exactly match the window frame on the wall, so it's a bit awkward to hang long curtains. The blinds stick out too much because of the window handle.
