MY TOP 3 3 Best Recent Purchases I'm an interior designer, but I'm a careful shopper. I'm the kind of person who asks myself, "Is there anything better?" about 10 times before making a purchase. Here's a list of the items I'm glad I bought despite those self-reflections. ① Squiggle Rug / Okej I'd been eyeing this rug for a while, but had passed on it. The reason was that it was "very distinctive." And it was expensive. But then I found it on sale, and my desire to be adventurous over "safe" won out. The free-form shape adds movement to the room, which is great. It looks like this, but the quality is excellent, and everyone is wearing it. ② X-Line Chair / HAY Since our dining table has a distinctive shape, I wanted a dining chair that wasn't too bold, but still had a cool feel. I'd been looking for a vintage X-Line Chair, but HAY reissued it last year, so I decided on it right away. The delicate lines of this silver piece are irresistible. As a metal fan, this is something that gets me excited every morning. ③ This Is Not A Book / Jean Jullien A book by French artist Jean Jullien. With each turn of the page, it transforms into a laptop, a piano, or a face. It's a cute and fun picture book to flip through. There's neuroscience research that says that when you look at something you love, your brain relaxes and you become more positive. So, I think your life will be richer if your eyes are filled with things you love. 🌿
