Our dressing room was created by removing the wall between two small rooms. Because we have a lot of stuff, we focused on organization rather than decorating. All knitwear, thin pants, and short-sleeved shirts were stored in a chest of drawers. The stool in the middle, which had been used in the living room, was moved to the closet. We hung seasonal hats on the hat rack in the doorway. We have a large built-in closet, so we stored thicker clothes, dresses, knits, and sweatshirts. We also hung blouses and other seasonal outerwear on hangers. If you have a lot of stuff, you can hang more clothes by placing the hangers across the middle rather than against the wall. Before we moved, we used MF Magic Hangers to match all the hangers, including the pants hangers. However, they were plastic, and the weight of the clothes made them fall over after a few months. We barely managed to secure them in place, and replaced them with metal hangers after we moved. If you have a lot of stuff, it's better to hide it rather than leaving it out.
