These days, it seems like many homes are extending their verandas to become one with the living room. We initially considered extending the space, but ultimately decided to install folding doors. We're quite happy with our decision👍🏻 On cold days like winter, closing the folding doors definitely helps keep the cold air from coming in, which helps with insulation. It also seems to keep the living room heating more efficient. Conversely, when the weather gets warmer, we open the doors wide, and the living room and veranda naturally flow together, making the space feel much larger. While the actual square footage hasn't increased, the perceived space is definitely different.😘 We've been using this for several years, and the ability to open and close the space depending on the season is a bigger advantage than we thought. I don't think expanding is the answer, and I'm quite satisfied with this option.
