Plants that are easy to grow even in low-sunlight conditions🪴🌿 ⠀ My house faces west, but even then, because of the building in front, we only get about 3 hours of sunlight in the late afternoon. 🥹 So, I'm mainly growing semi-shade plants! ⠀ I recommend plants that are easy for beginners to grow and thrive in a north-facing house with limited sunlight👏👏 (See brief descriptions for each plant 😉) ⠀ 1. Butterfly Orchid is a type of Western orchid that's excellent at purifying the air. Its strong reproductive capacity allows it to grow in clusters of drooping bulbs. :) ⠀ It dislikes direct sunlight, so growing it near a window can actually cause its leaves to burn. Mist it frequently, or if the leaves droop, water it thoroughly until the water drains out the bottom of the pot! ⠀ Cut the bulbs and place them in a pretty glass vase. Display them anywhere in your home for a stunning interior design! ✨ ⠀ 2. Rhipsalis Popeye This plant tolerates drought well and can be thoroughly watered every 2-3 weeks. If watering is difficult, place a saucer under the pot and let it soak for 4-5 hours. ⠀ It blooms beautiful yellow flowers. It's truly beautiful when the yellow flowers burst forth from the tips of the stems! 👏 It grows quickly and is easy for beginners to grow. ✨ ⠀ 3. Philodendron Mikan When exposed to light, its velvety, pearly texture glistens, and its shiny, deep green leaves are captivating. ◡̈ It grows as a vine, so if you use a climbing pole to help it climb, the leaves will grow larger! ⠀ Growing them drooping down on a shelf is naturally beautiful, and if you cut off the drooping nodes and place them in water, they'll quickly root, making them easy to propagate👏✨ ⠀ 4. Ctenante Amagris This is my favorite plant for over six years, since the COVID-19 pandemic! The leaves are a mix of green and white, and the deep veins create a sculptural effect. It's such a pretty and easy plant to grow. ◡̈ ⠀ When it's time to water, the leaves will curl slightly, but just give them a thorough watering! It's so easy to adjust the watering schedule, even for beginners!👏 ⠀ It propagates really quickly, and since the shoots are attached in clumps, you can simply divide them into clumps and plant them. I don't know how many pots I've split so far😂 It's the perfect size right now, so when it grows bigger, I'll propagate it by dividing the shoots! ⠀ Those of you who want to grow plants but find it difficult to water them regularly, or those of you who say, "My house doesn't get much sunlight..."
