I had a vague idea that black furniture would be too complicated. I never imagined how organized the space would be once I brought it in. A single matte black six-drawer dresser really brought out the right atmosphere. Placing it next to a window with a white wall and an ivory rug, it didn't feel cold at all. Instead, it created a calm and luxurious atmosphere. With six drawers, it holds more than I expected, and the neat organization of small items makes the space feel much larger. A fabric mirror and a small plant on the countertop gently neutralized the inherent heaviness of black. I had a preconceived notion that black furniture was too overwhelming, but matte black furniture is completely different. These days, I find myself looking at this space a second time whenever the sunlight streams in. And a photo of my space was used as the thumbnail.
