My house is a small, 30-year-old apartment. When I bought it, the previous owner had remodeled it about eight years ago, but the overall dark tone made the small kitchen feel even more cramped. So, when I was decorating, my goal was to "make it look as bright and spacious as possible!" 1️⃣ Why I chose a straight-line kitchen instead of an L-shaped one I originally dreamed of an L-shaped kitchen with a spacious cooking area. However, due to structural constraints like the relocation of the refrigerator and hood, I decided on a straight-line design, slightly extending the original layout. The result was a streamlined flow path, and I'm very satisfied! 2️⃣ A Spoonful of Wood in a White Tones I've always loved wood interiors, so I considered using wood for the entire kitchen cabinetry. However, I was concerned that it might make the space look cramped, so I went with a clean white kitchen cabinetry, but added a wood accent to the island countertop to create a sense of weight. The wood tone, while not being too light, creates a sense of balance in the kitchen, and I'm very satisfied! 3️⃣ Coexistence of Induction and Dishwasher Because my kitchen is small, I arranged the induction and dishwasher vertically in the same row. I'll share two tips I learned from this! 📌 If you're planning to install these two appliances as a set, I recommend setting the sink height to at least 90cm! 📌 Since induction and dishwasher consume a lot of power, it's important to separate the wiring for safety. Be sure to ask the installer in advance! I'm practicing a more simplistic approach to storage space, but this space is perfectly tailored to my flow and taste, so I love it more than anything else. I hope my experience will be helpful to anyone struggling with small kitchen decor!🫶
