As a maximalist, this is a time when I become especially meticulous. As I gaze around my room, I realize this approach suits my space, where wooden furniture, belongings, and plants breathe together. Rather than covering it with a pleasant scent, I first clear it with phytoncides, like the forest air, and then lightly layer the scent I'm drawn to each day. Because it's colorless and odorless, it won't disrupt the atmosphere of the space and can be used on bedding, rugs, curtains, and even new or wooden furniture. The spraying power is also good. In the morning, as the sunlight slowly descends on the wood grain, I shake out the bedding, even the rug and curtains, and then, when I return home at dusk, I do it again, starting with my room shoes. Chick — chick. Gradually, more widely, more lightly, more frequently.
