/ Roasting / It’s not just the taste, but the price of a cup of coffee at cafes these days is scary, isn't it? 😱 You can significantly lower the cost by roasting your own beans. If 1kg of green beans costs 20,000 won, and you use 20g for a double shot, that makes a total of 50 cups, so it comes out to roughly 400 won per cup. When the beans are roasted to the right medium roast level, it tastes just as good as any neighborhood cafe. One thing is for sure: I'm more confident than Starbucks! 🤣 Of course, the cleanup is a bit of a hassle, but I actually find that roasting just once really relieves my stress.
