My Table Mats When adding household items, the thing I am most wary of is "things that are merely pretty." So, to be honest, table mats were one of those items. They felt much more cumbersome to wash or maintain than trays. However, I was drawn to that mood where even an ordinary table setting looks somehow elegant. It feels like the food I make and eat isn't just about filling my stomach, but rather a time of complete rest, neatly prepared just for me. They are easier to store than trays and can be used quite flexibly depending on the situation.
