The spot in our house where the sunlight streams in most beautifully. By placing two chairs side by side in front of the large window, I created a small resting space where I can comfortably gaze at the view of the yard even from inside the house. Sitting there with a cup of coffee in hand in the morning, the fresh air and sunshine make me feel as if I’m in a café, even though I’m indoors. The yard features trees and grass that change color slightly with the seasons, and the distant mountains are visible at a glance. The window feels like a frame framing the scenery, so the space itself is very comfortable, even without any special interior decoration. These days, the time I sit here to rest while my child takes a nap is the quietest time of the day. It is truly wonderful to have a space like this where I can pause for a moment to look at the scenery amidst a busy day. My favorite spot in the house.
