Goodbye to those heavy puffer jackets and knits 👋 I'm sharing a winter clothing organization routine that maximizes space while protecting your fabrics! 🧶 1. Knits: Reduce volume with Brandon compression pouches Knits are the main culprits for taking up the most space due to the air pockets between them. They also tend to collapse easily if simply stacked. Fold your knits neatly and pack them into Brandon compression pouches. Just zipping them up quickly reduces the volume by half, doubling your storage capacity. If you place these compressed pouches on the top shelf of your closet, they are easy to access and free up space! 🧥 2. Long puffer jackets: Give them a breath of fresh air with non-woven fabric storage boxes If you compress expensive long puffer jackets or puffy items too tightly, the filling (down) can be damaged. Lightly fold the jacket and place it inside a large non-woven fabric storage box for storage! Non-woven fabric is highly breathable, making it excellent for preventing mold, and it helps maintain the padding's volume to some extent, allowing you to wear it like new even next year. Since it is bulky, simply place it in a storage box and position it on the top shelf or at the top of your dressing room for a neat finish! ✅ Final Checklist! 1. Washing is essential: Even if it looks clean to the naked eye, yellowing can occur if sweat or dust remains. Be sure to wash it and dry it completely before storing it. 2. Pack a dehumidifier: A smart move to slip a silica gel packet or dehumidifier into a corner of the storage box!
