At first, we placed the sofa vertically to create a layout that was good for conversation, but we found that this layout was indeed more comfortable when we sat side by side watching TV. So now, we have positioned the sofa directly in front of the TV to create a layout where we can watch movies comfortably. Instead, we prefer to have our conversations separately in the dining area. Since the roles of each space are naturally divided, it actually feels more comfortable.
