My desk is a solid wood desk in a dark walnut tone. I wanted to add a focal point to keep the substantial atmosphere from becoming boring, so after much consideration, I chose a 'deep green' leather desk pad. As you can see in the photo, the warm and tranquil wood tone of the walnut and the calm and lively color of the deep green complement each other without any sense of dissonance. It also blends neatly with the white keyboard, mouse, and PC tower, giving the overall space a tidy look.
