This is a review based on my personal experience using and styling the product, which was provided through the #FiveSensesReviewProgram. As a mom of 3 months, I didn't realize the importance of functionality for a baby diaper trash can at first, so I bought a small, pretty one... :) But from the very first day the baby came home, I decided I needed to change the trash can! First off, the smell, and then the volume of 10 diapers a day! Recan solved all of those problems👍🏻 Odor Blocking I thought, "How good could a trash can possibly be at blocking odors?" but it does an amazing job^^ Since it is a trash can specifically for poop and pee diapers, the smell hits you when the lid opens, so it is truly fascinating how it managed to hide such a strong odor. I keep it in the bedroom; I wouldn't have been able to sleep if there had been even the slightest smell, but the fact that there is absolutely no odor is truly amazing. Smooth Opening/Closing Mechanism Since I keep it next to the changing table, I use it several times even in the middle of the night. When opening and closing the lid, the baby might get startled, and it can be bothersome for my sleeping husband and me, but it closes with a really silent "whoosh." One-Touch Open & Self-Cutting Machine Diapers run so fast that the 27L capacity fills up in less than a week. You can imagine how much of a hassle it would be to have to change and insert bags every time... With Recan, the main body opens with a click, and since it comes with a dedicated bag, you just pull, cut, and separate it—that's it! You can also switch to a pay-as-you-throw system if you want, which reduces the hassle, making me more and more satisfied the more I use it. If you are looking for a large-capacity trash can, a diaper bin, or an odor-blocking trash can, I recommend Recan :)
