Tips for when you know nothing! Don't just go blindly. Make sure to study up, even if only roughly, before you go. First, book a suitable place and listen to their explanations thoroughly. You need to get a general sense of things to make the consultation and your needs clearer. Visit the company you want most last. If you go first... you won't have a point of comparison, so you won't get a feel for whether it's "good or bad." ✔️ Consult with 1-2 companies that aren't as appealing first. ✔️ Check quotes, explanation methods, and additional fee criteria. ✔️ Visit the place you really want last. That's when you can clearly see which company to choose. I recommend visiting with some time in between rather than going to two or three in a row in one day, but after receiving consultations, you must have a conversation with your spouse. You need a process of narrowing down your opinions, saying, "I really want to include this. Let's cut back on this." It costs a lot more than you think. The company you really want might be less impressive than you expected, or much more expensive than you anticipated. The company you really wanted might actually be more expensive than you thought.
