You know I'm actually pretty good at [rediscovering usefulness]. I brought a standard filing cabinet from my study room into the kitchen.🗄️ ➊ Filing Cabinet: Great move from study room to kitchen ➋ File Box: Inside the large file box + storage organized in the 1/2 file box ➌ Porta: Pencil holder → Supplement holder —————————————— • While organizing my study room, I was debating whether to sell this filing cabinet on Carrot Market again. But since there were more than a few inconveniences with the kitchen layout, I decided to bring it over... and seriously! It's so convenient. As expected, drawer-type cabinets seem to be the best for storage. My little baking chef 👩🏻‍🍳’s stuff had piled up, so I organized it and put the garbage bags I used to bend over to take out every day on the top shelf! • People who really love Muji file boxes organize things like this. Laying the large file box on its side plus three 1/2 file boxes fits perfectly! As a minimalist who gets self-conscious about leaving spices and other items out, I wanted to cover things up just enough. Organizing it like this allows me to see just the right amount while still hiding things, which gives me peace of mind ☺️ I tried organizing it this way because I wanted to keep things upright and avoid bending over. • I'll skip the Porta pencil holder since it's so versatile. We've been taking various vitamins and other supplements lately, and since we tend not to take them if they're out of sight, I keep them here to make sure we take them. Just grab it, take the family's supplements, and put it back on the shelf! —————————————— When my mind is cluttered and I feel completely overwhelmed, I empty out and organize. Seeing a little bit of empty space between the items in front of me really puts my mind at ease! Today, I reorganized the kitchen to fit my workflow, and it gave me a sense of calm. I think I'll use it like this for a while!
