#FTC22기 The space in my home that best reflects who I am is none other than the ‘living room.’ _ Since childhood, my long-held dream has been to have ‘a space of my own.’ Perhaps for me, ‘decorating my home’ is a process of resolving, one by one, the small emptiness I have long harbored in a corner of my heart. 😌 _ Since moving last autumn, I have been taking my time, wanting to fill the space with ‘things I truly need and love.’ What finally filled the living room wall, which had been empty for half a year, was a long, low bookshelf and desk custom-made for my child. I selected neat and clean wood and measured the dimensions countless times to ensure there were no errors. To prevent the long line along the wall from looking monotonous, I crafted it with a sense of rhythm in the width of the shelves. The little child who used to sit on a red wooden dog-leg table solving worksheets has grown up, and before I knew it, I became a mother and gifted my child a wonderful desk. _ This bookshelf and desk may seem like furniture brought in for the child, but in fact, they are also pieces that comfort my younger self. I wonder if our living room, which has settled in after half a year with the arrival of furniture for the child, isn't the very definition of a 'space that reveals me.' #MyOldContainer #아기가사는집
