The grocery store play set my kids wanted was discontinued, so I ended up making it myself. Since I majored in architecture, I started by sketching out a simple blueprint and then crafted it. I also considered storage and movement flow to match my children's eye level. I filled the space with snack props by folding them one by one with my eldest, and the making process itself turned out to be a time spent with my child 😊 When my eldest saw the finished product, she praised me, saying, "Where else would you find a mom who makes toys for you!" and I felt a sense of pride for no reason 😂 It started as a game, but naturally led to buying and selling and role-playing, and my kids are gradually learning economic concepts.
