From a new building to an older one! From a big house to a small one! It was the move to Gwangju I had been waiting for so long, but here is the reason why I wasn't entirely happy... Since we had insisted on ground-floor apartments since our honeymoon, moving up to the very top floor made me think, "Oh..." It was a south-facing unit that let in plenty of sunlight, and I loved the unobstructed high-floor view. That is how we ended up choosing this 10-year-old apartment. (My past self... I need to reflect on myself...) Actually, although I own a home, I currently have a tenant, and since my child will be starting elementary school next year, I inevitably ended up looking for a location with good school districts and a good environment for children to live in, as well as a place close to my workplace, rather than arguing between a new building and an older one. So, the place I chose was where the landlord had lived for 10 years, but it seemed they hadn't maintained the house at all; the interior was in terrible condition with outdated accent film and faded, torn furniture... To be honest, when we first came to view the house, it was full of belongings, so it was difficult to inspect every detail. 🥹 A home is supposed to be a comfortable place, so I need to get attached to it.
