For the narrow kitchens in small, older villas, the key is minimizing space and maximizing utilization✔️ I also dream of having a kitchen without upper cabinets, but since storage space is woefully insufficient in a small kitchen, I have to utilize it as efficiently as possible. I thought that building diagonal cabinets instead of L-shaped ones would allow for a brighter and more spacious feel! The upper cabinets are already high, and to utilize the space in the corners, I would have to climb up and reach all the way to the back... So, I created wide, diagonal upper cabinets to keep things cool and spacious. I store various seasonings that I can access immediately while cooking, as well as items that need to be kept at room temperature away from direct sunlight, in this space! Since I organized things using minimal storage boxes, it actually makes it easier to just grab things.
