But… I couldn’t maintain that for long. 🥲 At first, I’d just put one thing up, but at some point, another one next to it, and then another… Before I knew it, things would lose their place and start piling up. And then I’d tell myself I’d organize later, only to eventually give up. 😇 So, I changed my approach. Keep visible areas tidy! I keep visible spaces as empty as possible, and instead, I put things away in drawers or boxes. Since I made this change, there isn't just one benefit, but several. ✔️ Items no longer accumulate → Since they are out of sight, the thought of "let's just put them down for now" disappears ✔️ Organizing becomes much easier → There is no need to worry because there is already a place for them ✔️ The space looks much neater → It is the same house, but the atmosphere is completely different ✔️ It puts your mind at ease → As your field of vision is clear, your thoughts become clearer as well I think beautiful interior design starts not with adding things, but with subtracting.
