Thinking, "This is it!" I immediately moved the sofa. This was the layout when I used a 3.5-seater before, but this is the first time I’ve used this setup with the sofa I recently switched to. It definitely gives the feeling of separating the spaces, and since the kids' play area behind it gets hidden by the sofa no matter how messy it gets, for now! Lol, I feel less stressed. Originally, my plan was to put the dining table in the kids' play area and create a home cafe spot. I intended to place the kids' play area where the dining table is now. It just so happens that this isn't happening right now, but! I hope this serves as a good reference for utilizing your living room space ❤️
