✨🌈 The biggest change since moving to a first-floor home is the environment where I can encounter nature up close. With the magnolias starting to bloom outside the window these days, the atmosphere inside the house feels even warmer. (With the curtains open, it looks like a picture postcard🍀) This is my favorite part of our home. When moving into an older 2-bay apartment, everyone struggles with the dining table placement!!! Without hesitation, I placed it in front of the extended living room window. I love being able to feel more natural light! We don't have a separate TV, so I arranged a modular shelving unit on one wall to keep things neatly organized. I intentionally left the open shelves empty, and the dolls the kids like visit them occasionally lol 👀 💡Let's talk about the lighting💡 I put a small light in the bookshelf in the extended area, so the atmosphere becomes warmer in the evenings. I also hung a mushroom-shaped light on the middle door handle, which has become a focal point that makes me feel good every time I enter the house. Since we have a child, I’ve carefully placed witty items throughout the house. (This light fixture is made of soft, doll-like material, and the bulb isn't glass, so it’s really safe✅💕) In the entryway, I’ve placed a docking station that doubles as a mirror along with miniature lights to make even the small space feel cozy. (A quick grooming check right before heading out~~) These are small changes, but I think they come together to create the atmosphere of our home.
