Why Giving Up the Pantry Option Was a 'Masterstroke' The part I agonized over the most when moving into our new home was the living room pantry option. To start with the conclusion, I felt it would feel cramped, so I boldly gave it up. The home café zone I gained has become the signature of our home! ✨ By leaving the pantry space—which would have otherwise been stiflingly blocked—empty, the view from the living room to the kitchen opened up wide. It creates a magic effect that makes the space look much larger than other homes of the same size... You all know what I mean, right? You really can't give up this wide-open sense of space. 🖤 Rediscovering Space Instead of a wall that stretches all the way to the ceiling, I had custom white base cabinets made to fit the wall, capturing both storage and interior design effects at the same time. 🖤 Realizing My Dream Atop the base cabinets, I placed the Breville, which has been my long-time dream, as the main piece! I’ve completed a home cafe workspace filled with the lovely aroma of coffee. 🖤 Expanding the Dining Area With the dining space expanded in the place where the pantry used to be, I no longer have to worry about inviting guests over. People around me were worried about a lack of storage, but On the contrary, I feel like I’ve gotten rid of unnecessary clutter and gained a space that brings me happiness every day, so I am extremely satisfied.
