This is a question I get asked a lot: how to keep things tidy in a home with children. To share my method: First, I only fill the space with a moderate amount of items. It's a "let one go, bring in one" cycle. Any toy that I feel my child has lost interest in is immediately sold on the Carrot Market, and when I bring in new items, I only fill the space with the quantity and size that will fit in the storage cabinet. Second, I handle storage with drawers. While it depends on the purpose, I found that shelves are difficult to organize efficiently and feel visually cluttered. So, when choosing furniture, I focus on drawers.
