I really agonized over how to organize my vanity. It was realistically inconvenient to keep it minimal by just taking out a few cosmetics with pretty packaging. I used two square Zara Home cotton baskets; I gathered my hair products in one and my skincare products in the other. I find it more convenient to have tissues and the trash can all on the vanity. Even though the packaging for each product is diverse and colorful, it looks neat because I store them inside the storage boxes. The downside is that the bottom of the baskets isn't flat and is bumpy, so it's difficult to store items with small bottoms upright.
