It looked pretty, like a decorative item, but I found it a bit of a burden to use frequently. Even after brushing off the dust, it would stay between the feathers, and cleaning it was a bit tricky, so I gradually stopped reaching for it. Eventually, it became a "household item I kept on hand." So, I switched to a refillable duster. It is lightweight and adjustable in length, so I can easily clean even hard-to-reach places, and most importantly, it is much more hygienic because I can throw it away just as it is, with the dust still on it. I couldn't bring myself to use the ostrich feathers on the top of the refrigerator or pendant lights because I thought there might be old grime there, but with this, I can now wipe those spots with peace of mind. It feels so satisfying after cleaning. I also like that it fits right into the gaps between the blinds, allowing me to dust effortlessly. Now, it has actually become a household item that I reach for often. While pretty household items are nice, this item made me realize that the real essentials are the ones you actually use frequently.
