After my husband goes to work and the kids go to school, I often prepare brunch for myself ๐Ÿ™‚ (The menu for that day was water parsley oil pasta) Iโ€™ve selected three kitchen items that I reach for most often while cooking in those moments. They are very basic items, but I found that I end up using a cutting board, a knife, and scissors the most. 1. Epicurean Cutting Board I saw my mother-in-law using it when I visited my in-laws, and naturally ended up buying one myself ๐Ÿ™‚ I like the clean design, but even though it is a large size, it isn't too heavy when taking it out or washing it, so it puts less strain on my wrist, which is why I use it often. It comes in various sizes, so it is easy to choose one that fits the ingredients or purpose, and it looks pretty even if you leave bread or simple food on it to eat. It makes a bit of a cutting sound, so that might be a matter of personal preference, but I think it would be fine as long as it isn't late at night โ˜บ๏ธ 2. Pure Komachi Knife For the latteโ€ฆ This is a knife I received as a gift because it is famous as a knife for baby food.๐Ÿ™‚ I received it because I heard it was incredibly sharp, but when I first saw it in person, the blade looked so thin and flimsy that I thought, "Is this really that sharp?" But once I actually used it, it cut so smoothly that I still reach for it often. (And it's pretty...) Especially when the kids go on a picnic and I tell them to pack a lunch, I always find myself reaching for this knife first when slicing kimbap, fruit, or rolled omelets.๐Ÿ˜‚ 3. Fiskars Kitchen Shears The Fiskars kitchen shears appeared frequently in my search algorithm for a while, so I agonized over buying them before finally getting them. I hesitated because they were on the expensive side for scissors, but after using them, I found the cutting power to be excellent! I cut the water parsley in the photo with the scissors, and I realized there are actually more moments when scissors are needed than I thought, such as when trimming green onions or meat, or when grilling and cutting. Above all, using dull kitchen scissors just requires extra effort and is inconvenient, but since I don't feel that inconvenience with these, I find myself reaching for them more often
