Lately, I’ve been practicing capturing the interior of my house with a point-and-shoot digital camera. It is true that during times when natural light is strong, the camera absorbs too much light, often resulting in blown-out shots. Still, as I take these shots one by one, it is fun to see the atmosphere of the space in a new light. I spent last weekend entirely as a homebody; I did some gardening for the first time in a while, sat in the sunlit living room watching TV, and enjoyed a home-cooked meal. It was a fulfilling time in its own way. But for a homebody, the weekend flies by just the same.
