"Sets Are Boring!" – Our Mix-and-Match Dining Space at Home, featuring a Baby Chair While the sense of stability provided by matching furniture is nice, sometimes it can feel like a fixed answer sheet. Once I let go of the prejudice that the table and chairs must be a single unit, the space became much richer. I arranged chairs of various designs and materials around a white-toned round table. I also occasionally swap them with chairs from other rooms. These chairs, each with a different shape, are a collection of my tastes that I have painstakingly gathered one by one over time. Some days I sit in the Light Chair with its comfortable backrest, while on other days I sit in the modern Ottawa Chair, enjoying different atmospheres depending on my mood. And finally, the strawberry milk-colored Apfel toddler chair that I have been using ever since my baby was born!
