It's definitely not as effective at blocking the wind as floor-to-ceiling glass! I should have just extended the living room instead of doing this!! I just left it as is to let my son play in the water, but he doesn't really play. Playing in the water outside is the real fun... We don't even use that spacious area in the winter. If you want to use it year-round, extending seems like the best option?
