The Day After Drinking Too Much – The Day I Unexpectedly Became a "Rookie in the Workplace" Alongside My Kids Yesterday evening, for the first time in a while, I drank too much with my kids. Since I work a shift schedule with a four-hour round-trip commute, even though we live together, we haven't had much time to spend together. A meeting at a pub with a job seeker and kids adjusting to a new place. Given our respective situations and worries, rather than being there just as a mother... I was there with the mindset that I am no different from you right now. Just as I am living the second act of my life anew, my kids are also worrying about an uncertain future and whether the direction I am heading is the right one. I feel sorry for not being able to be a strong protective shield for them, and while knowing that my feelings are no different from yours might not be a great comfort, Mom is also moving forward diligently. "Since it's here, let's all move forward with enthusiasm. Because you only truly know life by living it..." Leaving a record of the day I unexpectedly became a newcomer to the workforce alongside my children... Let's cheer each other on! Today, we walked through the park together and took in the last vestiges of the cherry blossoms.
