I really think about wanting to move a lot, but once I move out and come back, I realize there is no place quite like my own home. Is it because I’ve become accustomed to various conditions? ^^ It is an older apartment building, and since there is talk of reconstruction and it is currently underway, I have been postponing the move a little longer... As a result, I naturally ended up making changes through furniture arrangement or DIY projects. Since the kitchen is where I spend the most time, I wanted to change the tiles, but because I had already done a DIY installation once, peeling them off and removing them wasn't easy, so I had just been thinking about it. Back then, I even bought a tile cutter and struggled to do the DIY installation, but I ended up sticking them on way too firmly. I happened to be looking into adhesive tiles, and then Stickal Tile caught my eye! Since it is a stick-on tile, you can easily transform your space at a reasonable cost. It isn't a very large kitchen, and I was hesitant about doing the DIY installation myself, but it was much easier than I expected. Because it is customizable, I could attach it to various spatial structures—even corners, narrow areas, and gaps—so I was able to apply it easily and securely. The installation time is also faster and simpler compared to other DIY projects. With a thickness of 1.6mm and the durability of 4 layers, it provides a 3D effect that looks just like real tiles. Unlike regular adhesive sheets or tile sheets, it can be applied easily without bubbles, tearing, or wrinkling. Although it is matte, stains are surprisingly easy to wipe off, making it easy to maintain. Since it uses a high-quality adhesive, clean removal and replacement are possible, so I feel like I can do this DIY project comfortably without any worries. Our kitchen measures approximately 475cm in width and 230cm at its longest (with varying lengths throughout). I purchased 40 sheets of 30.5cm x 14.8cm adhesive tiles, which provided plenty of space with leftovers. Although the tiles have a modern feel, I prefer a vintage vibe over something too simple, so I decorated the kitchen with a modern + vintage concept. Rather than thinking it must go well with wood, I think it's a good idea to create your own unique atmosphere using your personal belongings and tastes, even if it might seem unbalanced.
