Magic Hour I uploaded this with sound on Instagram, but this is just the normal background noise. I was listening to a Beach Boys record. The approximately 30 minutes before and after sunset is said to be the most beautiful time of day, known as the "magic hour." The sky glows gold and orange, and then changes to purple and blue. Our house doesn't get much direct sunlight, but the sun does enter the room at dusk. When the conditions are just right, the room fills with orange light as the breeze blows through.
