On a day when the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, I set up tables in the front and back yards and spent some time like a small picnic. As I drank coffee, read books, and worked on my laptop, the yard, which I usually feel at home, transformed into a space where I wanted to linger much longer. It was a day that left a lasting impression on me, especially because the moments I spent sitting with Popo were so lovely. Seeing how a single table could change the atmosphere of a space without any elaborate staging, I became inspired to decorate my yard and terrace with a sense of style, not just inside the house.
