Review of 4 Types of Pacifiers I Bought with My Own Money: A Parenting Essential 🍒 At first, I bought the Moyum All-Silicone Pacifier without much hesitation, as it was a recommended item at the postpartum care center. The director of the center places great importance on hygiene, so she advised me to buy an all-silicone, one-piece pacifier like Moyum's, saying that non-one-piece pacifiers can develop mold due to water pooling and the baby's saliva. Hooku hardly uses the pacifier except when sleeping, and when I try to give it to him when he's fussy, he keeps spitting it out or refuses to take it at all. I wondered, "Maybe the Moyum Macaron Pacifier just isn't very good?" So, when moving on to Stage 2, I did a lot of research and got recommendations from experienced parents, so I purchased and tried various pacifiers from different brands. Please check the photos for my real-life review of the products I bought with my own money! 🧷 I will add details that I couldn't include in the photos! ✔️Hukku tends to be fussy before bed, so when I hold and soothe him, he keeps shaking his head from side to side to calm himself down. Because of this, the handles protrude like those on all-silicone pacifiers, and since silicone has high friction, the pacifier keeps slipping off my clothes or body whenever he turns his head. Every time that happens, he gets really annoyed...😅 In particular, the Moyum pacifier has a handle that protrudes even more than the TGM or Spectra ones, so it slips off even more easily. I felt that the Spectra Joguman pacifier was an advantage because it has a lightweight, foldable handle and a plastic body with low friction, so it doesn't slip off even when Hukku shakes his head. ✔️I bought the Spectra Joguman pacifier because I was worried his mouth might hurt if he used a heavier pacifier for a long time. However, Hukku actually sleeps better when I gently press the pacifier while he sleeps, so he didn't really like the lightweight feel. After trying out various types, Hooku was just a baby with low dependency on pacifiers. The water pooling issue with non-integrated pacifiers was a significant inconvenience for a lazy person like me, and he didn't even like Hooku more just because it was lighter. (You have to be much more careful when cleaning them compared to integrated ones. You have to squeeze the nipple to fully remove it, and it takes a long time to dry it completely inside after sterilization.) So, I plan to settle on the Moyum All-Silicone Macaron Pacifier, which was my first pacifier! However, please keep in mind that this review is based on my subjective opinion plus Hooku's mouth/cheek shape and personal preference, so it may vary from baby to baby.
