Raising four children, I realized there wasn't a single day off from doing laundry. So, I decided to make the most of my multi-purpose room to create the laundry room of my dreams. Rather than focusing on a flashy interior, I concentrated on spatial arrangements that fit the layout of our home and efficient workflow. I organized storage around the washing machine so that frequently used laundry supplies could be accessed at once, and by placing small appliances there as well, the kitchen sink area became much more spacious. Most importantly, since the workflow changed to flow naturally from washing to drying to organizing within a single space, the tedious chore of laundry felt much less burdensome.
