#MakeGoodUseOfTheRefrigeratorCabinet A neat kitchen completed with a #FaceToFaceIsland and #RefrigeratorCabinet #PocketDoor I looked at a lot of remodeling references, and whenever I saw them, the kitchen window frames always stole the show๐ฅบ I even thought about getting rid of them completely, but given the structure of my #OldTwoBay, I felt it would be a shame to reduce even the small window frames. So, while building the refrigerator cabinet, I reduced the size of the window frames and hid them so they fit perfectly in the middle of the pocket door! Now that it's finished, I'm so satisfied!โจ It allows for immediate ventilation while cooking with the microwave, air fryer, oven, etc., and it also sufficiently cools down the heat from the convection oven, so it has a double benefit. Actually, cooling down the heat from the convection oven was something I hadn't thought about, but the installer told me that in narrow spaces where silicone sealant has been applied, if the environment isn't cool enough, the silicone could melt and the cabinet could sag! You probably won't have any issues with custom-built cabinets, but if you are building a custom unit like oursโcombining wall tiles with shelvingโand there are parts that require silicone work, I highly recommend taking this into account. The #OvenCabinet isn't huge, but we built it generously so we can store the #CoffeePot next to the convection oven, and installed a pull-out #RiceCookerCabinet on the bottom shelf. Operating the #CoffeePot in the pull-out rice cooker cabinet really made the kitchen look much cleaner ๐ I highly recommend this layout for #OlderTwoBayKitchens! ๐ค
