: Our Home Remodeling Log #Entrance ⠀ ⠀ The existing entrance was a messy-looking space because the tones of the wired glass partition door, walls, and floor were all different, making it feel disorganized overall. Since I wanted to minimize costs as much as possible, I reused the existing furniture and changed only the finishes to transform the atmosphere 🙌🏻. So, I unified the shoe cabinet and walls with wood finishes to define the space and wanted to create a warm yet stable atmosphere when entering. ⠀ I chose light-colored tiles for the floor to naturally lighten the heavy feeling that can be felt from the wood walls. The space looks wider and cleaner, and the overall balance has become much lighter! ⠀ I really didn't like the existing wired glass partition door because it was a 3-door design, but I think I debated it until the very last minute, deciding to just change the finishes to save money! 🥹 But the result was extremely satisfying!!! I felt that the corrugated or patterned glass options I was offered wouldn't suit this space, so I opted for bronze glass. It makes the entrance accent wall stand out much more and blends perfectly with the overall space :) 🤎🤎 To add a focal point to the entrance wall, I placed a favorite painting and wall hooks. Rather than just simple decoration, I considered both design and practicality simultaneously to elevate the overall completeness of the space :) The reason I didn't place a separate mirror in the entryway is that there was already a full-length mirror attached to the inside of the existing shoe cabinet door. Since I didn't think I needed to add an external mirror, I aimed to maintain a visually cleaner and more clutter-free space. I wanted a pleasant space that would capture the unique vibe of our home, whether we were entering or going out.
