Making a Simple Ciabatta Sandwich I tend to make enough sandwich sauce to last me a few servings. For the sauce, I finely chop onions and pickles, then mix them with mayonnaise, aluscos, a pinch of salt, and pepper. After thawing the frozen ciabatta, add sliced ham, sliced cheese, and romaine lettuce, then fold it in half. That's it! It's so easy, right?
