Last autumn, while paying for my purchase, I noticed the plants lined up on the shelf next to the cashier. The owner told me to pick whichever one I wanted, even though they weren't in great condition. I picked up a *Rakunosa Variegata*, but he gave me another one, a *Hoya Rakunosa Variegata*, telling me to take it as well. One was in better condition but was a *Rakubari* that had lost its pattern and was just overgrown with green leaves, while the other had patterns but was completely dried out, so I was feeling a bit anxious. I was so happy when the green-leaved *Rakunosa Variegata* bloomed six months after I brought it home. Then today, while checking on the *Variegata* that had been looking weak with lots of white leaves, I discovered two flower stalks!!!
